The Process

Going through interviews ourselves, we know how frustrating and unprofessional a lack of a timeline and schedule feels. To this end, we strive to keep our interview process fast and informative. The process looks like this:

1. Submit a resume to Asher (asher@theaidia.com)
2. Asher will reach out to schedule an interview
3. You will receive the hiring decision within 1 week of interviewing

Developer Interview Questions

There are 4 main parts to the interview:

These incredible people develop problem solving skills not only in developing software, but in developing themselves.

About You (20 minutes)

1. What is the most interesting thing about you?
2. Where do you want to be in 2 years?
3. What's the difference between that and now?
4. What goals have you set that will lead you to that?
5. What fears do you have about those goals and how will you mitigate them?
6. What plans have you set for those goals?
7. What software project are you most proud of? Why are you proud of it?
8. Are you more interested in frontend, backend, infrastructure, architecture, devops, or something else? Why?
9. What would the perfect job look like now? What about in 2 years?

Problem Solving (20 minutes)

You will be presented with a former #arena challenge from Slack. We will talk through it together, and work out a solution that makes sense. Remember to share your thoughts, be fearless in making mistakes, and don't worry about creating a suboptimal response on the first round.
